Our founders, Rich and Elisa Baker, believe that every dog deserves to live their best possible lives – one filled with joy, vitality and limitless adventures. Their journey into the world of pet nutrition began when their golden retriever pup, Lucy, endured two torn ACL surgeries and multiple hip issues. Veterinarians prescribed hip and joint vitamins for the rest of her life. They tried every kind of brand, all of which were only available in difficult to administer chews, which they found scattered around their house or had to force Lucy to take. Giving these chews became a source of stress for them and anxiety for their beloved pet.
This is when they met Dr. Al Zyller, who owns a facility specializing in the production of wellness products for canines, and told him their story. Dr. Zyller quickly contacted his partner, Matthew Daddino, at Biocorp Labs, seeking a solution for Lucy. Matthew was able to develop a breakthrough, fast absorbing, and easily digestible natural powder supplement to use as a food topper. Elisa and Rich simply sprinkled the powder supplement on top of Lucy’s food and to their surprise she gobbled it up, eliminating the stress associated with chewable formats forever.
That’s when they knew that they had to make this for the world and created the P.A.W.S Nutrition™ Company. Their unwavering mission is fueled by the belief that every dog deserves to truly thrive!
